That Spiffy New iPhone May Mean He's Looking For A Fling

Source: www.huffingtonpost.com --- Tuesday, October 07, 2014
Peacocks have their extravagant plumage, bull elk their haunting bugle . And men? They have the iPhone 6. At least that's the word from researchers at the University of Wuerzburg in Germany. Their new study of 352 men and women between the ages of 16 and 34 shows that guys who are single or in uncommitted relationships and looking for a short-term mate are more likely than their more committed peers to purchase a high-status smartphone . The study's authors -- Christine Hennighausen , a doctoral student in the university's department of media psychology and her university colleague Prof. Frank Schwab -- said in their paper that they believe men looking for a fling might flash their fancy phones to convince potential mates that they have sufficient resources to provide for them. The study, published in the recent issue of Letters on Evolutionary Behavioral Science, also showed that men who were interested in a long-term relationship rather than a one-night stand were more likely to buy an inexpensive, low-status smartphone. "This behavior might signal his intention to save resources in the long-term, which, in turn, makes him pretty attractive for women according to evolutionary theories of parental investment and sexual selection," Hennighausen told The Huffington Post in an email. What about women's phones? No link was found between a woman's phone choice and her relationship status. According to the researchers, that may be bec ...

How to Remove Bubbles from Your iPhone 6 Screen Protector

Source: www.gottabemobile.com --- Tuesday, October 07, 2014
How to Remove Bubbles from Your iPhone 6 Screen Protector is a post by Craig Lloyd from Gotta Be Mobile . If you're worried about scratching up your new iPhone 6′s display, then getting a screen protector is a great way to prevent that, but while you can easily apply a screen protector to your iPhone 6, getting those wretched bubbles out is another story. Screen protectors come in all different styles, but most of them are usually made out of a thin and flexible plastic sheet that sticks onto your device's screen using some kind of adhesive or just static electricity. More expensive screen protectors are made out of tempered glass, which are essentially just really thin sheets of glass that you stick on top of your iPhone's display. This makes it so that you'll still get that natural glass feel to the device, but it does add a bit of thickness, since glass screen protectors are a bit thicker than regular plastic ones. There are also more rugged screen protectors from companies like Zagg who specialize in military-grade screen protection. These screen protectors are made out of an incredible material that's insanely scratch proof. They're overkill most of the time and are fairly expensive, but they can be good for users who work in construction that would have an iPhone exposed to extreme conditions most of the time. Read: Best iPhone 6 Screen Protectors What most of these screen protectors have in common, though, is that they're ...
