Controlling your Mac or PC from your iphone and iPad doesn't have to be difficult or expensive. With Chrome Remote Desktop, which is now available on iOS for the first time, setup is both incredibly simple and completely free. Android users have been enjoying Chrome Remote Desktop since last April , and its arrival on iOS is big news for many. It takes just a few minutes to get the whole thing setup, you don't have to worry about typing in IP addresses manually, and it won't cost you a penny. If you need to access your computer from afar, then, Chrome Remote Desktop is a great way to do it. To get started, simply download the Remote Desktop app for your computer from the Web Store inside of the Chrome browser, and authorize it with your Google account — then install the new app on your iOS device. So long as both devices are using the same Google account, you'll be able to find and access your Mac or PC from your iphone or iPad in just a couple of taps. You will also be able to get to your machine from Android devices, and other computers running the Chrome browser — including Chromebooks. Spinnner is a new game that might make you feel sick. All you do is hold your iphone or iPad in your hands (hold it tight!) and spin around 10 times on the spot as fast as you can. It uses the gyroscope to measure each spin to give you an accurate time once you're finished. And, each time you do perform a spin, the number on screen counts up, with each of them having their own brightly coloured personality. See them all dancing around below. Aren't they wonderful? You can play Spinnner solo or, if someone else has an iphone nearby, you can compete against each other. You can also see how you square up in the leaderboards. I remember being a kid and spinning around on the spot, laughing as I fell over. I haven't done that for a while, but this morning, due to playing Spinnner , I did. Renegade developer Koushik Dutta has launched AllCast on iOS, letting you stream music, photos and video from your iPad or iphone to your TV. AllCast, which has been around on Google Play since Dec 2013, supports Chromecast, Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, and Xbox among other devices. To use it, simply launch the app, locate what you want to stream, and tap the cast button at the bottom of your screen to select a target.
